These are new, in the box, and have never been mounted on an engine. I bought these heads in 2004, but have never used them. They have been correctly stored standing on-end ever since.
ZZ3 and early ZZ4 heads had the "Orange" valve springs these heads have; later ZZ4 heads had different springs and retainers.
10185087 is the revised casting of the aluminum L-98 heads that came on '88 and later Corvettes with the "D-shaped" exhaust port. They have 58cc combustion chambers, 163cc intake runners, 3/8" screw-in studs, 1.94/1.50 valves, and angled spark plugs.
They flowed well in stock form, but these particular heads have been ported by Reher Morrison Racing Engines in Arlington, TX and now flow the following:
Stock ZZ4:
.300: 160 (int), 125 (ex)
.400: 186 (int), 150 (ex)
.450: 191 (int), 163 (ex)
.500: 196 (int), 170 (ex)
.600: 199 (int), 175 (ex)
After Porting:
.300: 175 (int), 128 (ex)
.400: 206 (int), 154 (ex)
.450: 212 (int), 167 (ex)
.500: 215 (int), 172 (ex)
.600: 215 (int), 177 (ex)
I have the flow sheet showing this.
The 58 cc chambers will give a nice compression bump on a 350/383 that had 64 cc heads, and will maintain compression on a 305.
Scoggin-Dickey sells the unported version of these heads for 552.95, each, plus shipping.
